Mapridge Design Studios Ltd is owned and managed by James Carr. James is a registered architect and a member of both the Architects Registration Board and the Royal Institute of British Architects. James started work at Haringey Council’s Architects Department moving to Solon South East Housing Association. He joined Barton Willmore Ltd in 1987 becoming an equity Partner. As Senior Design partner he ran their London Architectural Design team working on a wide range of projects from inception to completion. These projects included one off houses to multi flatted urban regeneration projects, masterplans and office and retail business parks. 

James retired from Barton Willmore in 2017 and set up Mapridge Design Studios Ltd to concentrate on smaller, more personal but often more complex projects.
